HCPC Registered Dietitian

I am a registered dietitian with over 10 years clinical experience working within a range of specialities including gastroenterology, cardiology, endocrinology and nephrology. Alongside my clinical role I am an accredited Sports Dietitian, member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) Sports Nutrition Specialist Group and listed on the Sports and Exercise Nutrition register (SENr).
Sport has always been a large part of my life, with a large emphasis on running, cycling, swimming and strength training. Having participated in half, full and ultra marathons and swimming competitively, I have first hand experience (both good and bad!) of managing the nutritional demands of such events and the commitment to training they require. Ultimately, I believe that a well planned nutritional strategy is vital for individuals of all athletic abilities to achieve their performance goals, avoid injury and support their general health. However I feel this is an aspect of training that is often under prioritised; driving me to set up Coastal Sports Nutrition.
I aim to provide evidence based sports nutrition advice to support individuals at all fitness levels to reach their own personal performance goals and attain athletic longevity. This includes providing bespoke fuelling strategies, pre/ post training or event nutrition plans, 1:1/ group education sessions or individualised nutritional MOTs to ensure an individual is correctly fuelling their training and wider life commitments. I also have extensive clinical experience working with individuals following a vegetarian, vegan/ plant based or lactose free diet alongside those living with chronic health conditions.
